Donald J. Belasco, 87, of Lower Macungie Township, died Aug. 6, 2023.
He and his wife, Jean, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last August.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Nancy and Rudolph Koller and William Belasco.
A graduate of Muhlenberg College, he was recognized as a top accounting major in his class.
He retired as circulation director of The Morning Call in 1997, having served in that position for 15 years.
His tenure at the paper covered more than 40 years.
Previously, he worked in refinery accounting at Sun Oil Company.
He was past president of the Inter-State Circulation Managers Association and a past chairman of the circulation committee of the Inter-State Newspaper Publishers Association.
He served in the Army for two years.
A member of Brookside Country Club, Macungie, he had two holes-in-one there, and was a volunteer for the Mid-Atlantic States Junior Tour for many years.
He enjoyed winters in Arizona and extensive travel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Michele McNelly (Tim) of Evans, Ga. and Lisa Belasco of Alexandria, Va.; grandson Matthew Langrehr; sisters Rose Marie Heckman of Bethlehem and Dolores Drayton of State College; brother Paul Koller of Walnutport; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Bill Belasco.
