Donald H. Speth Sr., 96, of Whitehall where he lived with his daughter Linda, died Aug. 12, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospice, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Mabel I. (Warren) Speth for 46 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Leo C. Sr. and Mabel Mae (Christine) Speth.

He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a Whitehall-Coplay School District maintenance worker for 20 years until he retired.

He is survived by five children, Donna H. and her husband Michael Bednar of Whitehall, Jean L. and her husband James Kratzer of North Whitehall, Linda Stine of Whitehall and her fiance Steve Cerva, Donald H. Jr. of Whitehall and Daniel P. of Nazareth; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Leo C. Speth Jr.

There will be a calling time 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., both Aug. 17 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
