The Catasauqua free summer concert series will feature Nite Flyte 7-10 p.m. Aug. 18 at the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St. Get out your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun evening.

The Morning Glories of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will next meet 10 a.m. Aug. 21.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be offering its monthly free community lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 21. Come out for some great food and camaraderie.

Catty Seniors Plus next meets Aug. 23 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. Doors will open noon, and the meeting will begin 1 p.m.

The speaker is Maria Santacoloma. She is from United Health Care and has been very helpful in the past with answering questions on the upcoming open enrollment. Coffee and dessert will be served, followed by bingo.

The group is for seniors in both Catasauqua and North Catasauqua boroughs.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is having a half-price sale on everything in the store during August and September.

Regular hours at the shop are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. The shop accepts donations of good, used, clean clothing and household items during store hours. Proceeds from the thrift shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.
