SOUTHSIDE STRIDE STUDENT VISITS: On Aug. 17, teachers from Fountain Hill ES will visit incoming kindergartners at their homes from 10 a.m. to noon. VACCINATIONS: Bethlehem Health Bureau and BASD will provide vaccinations for any BASD (public or non public) students Aug. 17 from 4-6 p.m. Preregistration is preferred. Students age 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent. COVID vaccinations are available for students age 12 and older.
SCHOOL SAFETY: Bethlehem City Police Chief Michelle Kott and the Bethlehem School Resource Officers recently met with Superintendent Dr. Jack Silva, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Maureen Leeson and Coordinator of Safety and Emergency Management Todd Repsher to develop integrated approaches to school safety and positive school culture in the BASD.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION: On the second Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. to noon, there will be a drive-through food distribution at Northeast MS, 1170 Fernwood St. The distribution is open to families of BASD students.
REQUIRED VACCINATIONS: Vaccinations are required for all students, with specific vaccinations needed for students entering the seventh and 12th grades. To schedule a vaccination for your child, contact the Bethlehem Health Department at 610-865-7083.
