The Whitehall Waves summer swim team competed in the Silvers Championships on July 19, hosted by the Bethlehem Stingrays for teams in the Lehigh Valley Suburban Swim League.
The Silvers Meet provided an opportunity for swimmers who didn’t qualify for Gold Championships to compete one last time in the summer swim season.
The Waves, coached by Daniel Jablonski, had seven top four performances in individual events.
Farrah Makhoul was the Waves lone first place winner with a time of 30.20 in the 6 & Under 25 backstroke.
Scoring third place points for the Waves were Dane Potocnie in the 6 & Under 25 freestyle with a time of 27.00, and Jayce Bower in the 9-10 25 butterfly with a time of 22.47.
Makhoul took fourth place in the 25 free with a time of 32.56, and Karina Makhoul was fourth in the 9-10 25 fly with a time of 22.06.
Also placing fourth were Jade Kreiner in the 13 & Over 50 fly in 43.25, and Zoe Kreiner in the 13 & Over 50 backstroke in 40.69.
In addition to the Whitehall Waves and Bethlehem Stingrays, teams in the Lehigh Valley Suburban Swim League are the Northampton Kids, Palmerton Porpoises, Quakertown Dolphins, Soleco Stingrays, Lower Macungie Lazers, and Macungie Bears.
