JULY 1

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers at Second and Chapel streets, Catasauqua, for a vehicle stop.

JULY 2

Suspicious activity in the 500 block of Race Street was reported.

A vehicle was ticketed and moved at Front and Church streets due to a parking violation.

A cruelty to animals report in the 500 block of East Wood Street was referred to an animal control officer.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St. No arrests were made.

Police addressed a noise complaint in the 100 block of South Front Street.

JULY 3

A juvenile missing from the 600 block of Third Street was reported.

Police investigated a report of a body found at Silver Manor, 2 Front St. The individual died due to cardiac arrest, the department said.

A burglary alarm sounded at Catasauqua Area School District, 201 N. 14th St.

Officers responded to a civil matter in the 400 block of Crane Street.

A child was found in the 700 block of Second Street, police said.

JULY 4

Reports of fireworks at various residences and locations throughout the borough were filed with the department.

In the 800 block of Race Street, a vehicle was damaged.

JULY 5

A driver was cited on Second Street due to a traffic violation.

In the 200 block of Front Street, a temporary protection-from-abuse order was granted.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of Second Street.

Police investigated a home improvement fraud report in the 600 block of Fifth Street.

A domestic disturbance, with no arrests, took place in the 600 block of Front Street.

A civil matter was addressed in the 200 block of Bridge Street.

JULY 6

At Front and Pine streets, officers conducted a welfare check.

Suspicious males in the 100 block of Bridge Street were reported.

A dog at large in the 200 block of Circle Street had police in the area.

JULY 7

A written warning was issued for a traffic violation on Front Street.

A burglary in the 700 block of Second Street was reported.

Officers investigated a verbal domestic disturbance, with no arrests, in the 100 block of Second Street.

Fireworks at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St., were reported.

JULY 8

At Lehigh and Main streets, a reportable motor vehicle accident took place.

A domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Mulberry Street was addressed. No arrests were made.

A citation was filed for a traffic enforcement on Milton Street.

A security check was conducted at Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St.

Fireworks in the 100 block of Wood Street were reported.

JULY 9

Police conducted a welfare check in the 700 block of Fourth Street.

Officers assisted police at Lehigh Valley International Airport, 3311 Airport Road, Hanover Township.

JULY 10

At the same residence in the 700 block of Crane Street, officers investigated two check welfare reports and a mental health report.

Traffic violations at Front and Pine streets and Front and Race streets occurred.

At Innovative Arts Academy Charter School, 330 Howertown Road, officers investigated an open door report. The department’s K-9 was also on the scene.

JULY 11

A traffic violation took place at Lehigh and Race streets.

In the 400 block of Race Street, a disturbance had police at the scene.

Officers investigated a report of a hit and run at Front and School streets.

JULY 12

Hit and runs occurred in the 200 block of Bridge Street and at Bridge and Front streets.

A road rage complaint at Front and Race streets was addressed.

Traffic violations took place at Second and Peach streets and Railroad and School streets.

Parking violation tickets were issued in the 100 block of Limestone Street and at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

A child custody issue was investigated at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.

In the 800 block of Walnut Street, a civil issue had police at the scene.

An animal complaint at St. John and Walnut streets was reported.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of Front Street.

JULY 13

A dog at large in the 700 block of Second Street was reported.

The theft of a bicycle in the 100 block of Race Street was reported to the department.

A traffic violation occurred at Second and Bridge streets.

Drug paraphernalia was found in the 700 block of Second Street. An officer disposed of it, the report said.

JULY 14

A disturbance occurred in the 700 block of Second Street.

Traffic citations were issued at Howertown Road and Walnut Street.

Police assisted a citizen with a complaint regarding soliciting phone calls in the 500 block of Circle Drive.

JULY 15

Protection-from-abuse reports at the same residence in the 100 block of Front Street were investigated.

On Crane Street, a vehicle was ticketed due to a parking violation.

A harassment case, involving a neighbor dispute, at Catasauqua Towers, 534 Third St., was addressed.

Officers checked on a vehicle at Catasauqua Apartments, 118 Bridge St.

In the 500 block of St. John Street, an animal complaint was investigated.

JULY 16

Police conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of Front Street.

A parking ticket was issued at Silver Manor, 2 Front St.

An animal complaint in the 100 block of Front Street was addressed.

At Catasauqua Towers, 534 Third St., a harassment report, involving a neighbor, had police at the scene.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 200 block of Front Street.

Suspicious activity at Bridge and Front streets was investigated.

Music was turned down when police responded to a noise complaint in the 900 block of Church Street.

JULY 17

In the 500 block of Third Street, a neighborhood dispute occurred.

A temporary protection-from-abuse order was granted in the 100 block of Front Street.

Officers investigated a report of a hacked account in the 800 block of Race Street.

A civil matter in the 100 block of Race Street took place.

JULY 18

A verbal warning was issued in the 100 block of Canal Street for a noise complaint.

Animal complaints were investigated in the 900 block of Race Street for a dog barking and in the 500 block of East Wood Street, with the latter being referred to an animal control officer.

Traffic violations occurred in the 200 block of North 14th Street, for a careless driver who was cited; in the 600 block of Race Street, with a verbal warning issued; and in the 400 block of Second Street, with the driver cited.

Richard Miller, 36, of Catasauqua, was arrested for strangulation, simple assault and harassment in the 100 block of Railroad Street.

JULY 19

A temporary protection-from-abuse order was granted in the 100 block of Railroad Street.

Officers assisted Colonial Regional police in the 600 block of Faith Drive.

A harassment case involving a customer was investigated in the 600 block of Front Street.

JULY 20

At Second and Bridge streets, a report of a fraudulent check was investigated.

Police responded to a civil issue in the 200 block of Second Street.
