Brandon M. Leverence

Brandon M. Leverence, 40, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of the Lehigh Valley, died July 17, 2023, in his home.

Born Nov. 28, 1982, in Bucks County, he was the son of Theresa M. (Viechnicki) Leverence of Allentown and Henry “Hank” F. Leverence Jr. of W.Va.

He began elementary school in Little Meadows, and attended Northwestern Lehigh School District from fourth to 10th grade.

He graduated from Dixon High School, Sneads Ferry, N.C.

In his early adulthood, he returned to the Allentown area before going back to North Carolina, where he spent the last three years of his life.

A skilled craftsman in the building trade, he worked for many years along the North Carolina coast for homebuilders in Pender and Onslow counties.

He recently became self-employed in a small business of his own and was planning to build his future home in West Virginia.

Although he never married or had children of his own, he treasured the time he spent with his nieces and nephews and faithfully followed each of the milestones in their lives no matter the distance that separated them.

He had passions for surfing the Carolina beaches and snowboarding the slopes of Pennsylvania.

He was gifted with a unique athletic ability and lived his life with unparalleled intensity in all that he did.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by brothers Haigen F. Leverence (Jenn) and Kyle R. Leverence (Holly), all of Allentown; beloved nieces and nephews Alleigh, Logan, Isaiah, Jackson, and Ellie Leverence; aunts Pamela A. Reese (Rob) of Albrightsville, Janice E. Walker (Rick) of North Carolina, Tina M. Viechnicki of Slatington, and Erin Viechnicki of Bucks County; uncles Joel Viechnicki (Rhonda) of Texas; Robert T. Leverence of New Jersey; and a large extended family.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents Jere T. and Suzanne (Dimmick) Viechnicki and paternal grandparents Henry F. Leverence Sr., and Grace (Campitelli) Leverence and uncle, Jeff Viechnicki.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. There will be no public calling hours.
