Paul Allen Wieder, 59, of Danielsville, formerly of Macungie, died July 27, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Willard D. and AnnaMae (Schafer) Wieder.

He graduated from Emmaus High School and the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21. He worked for VIA of the Lehigh Valley.

The family would like to thank the many people in the community that provided for his care and support while navigating through life with Down syndrome. Our lives have been changed for the better because of Paul. His loving kindness and bright smile were a part of who he was. He loved NASCAR, football and many years of camping and travel.

He is survived by brothers, David W. and his wife, Rev. Kathryn A., of Allentown, Thomas R. and his wife, Pamela, of Emmaus; caregiver of over 20 years, Laurie Kistler and her husband, Jeff; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Mark A. and his wife, RaeAnn.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
