There is still a lot going on at Parkview Pool, 3051 S. Fifth St., this month. Fun events and notices are listed below.

• Free adult swim (for ages 30 and up): 9-11 a.m. Aug. 3 and 10

• Swim under the stars (for $3 admission): 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 4. Regular swim time ends 6 p.m.

• World Cup day (free entry if you wear soccer-related attire): noon-7 p.m. Aug. 5

• Back-to-school party (for $3 admission or free entry if you bring in a back-to-school donation): 6-8 p.m. Aug. 8. Regular swim time ends 5 p.m.

• Half-off admission: noon-7 p.m. Aug. 12

• Military appreciation day (free entry with military ID): noon-5 p.m. Aug. 19

The pool is open to Whitehall Township residents noon-7 p.m. now through Aug. 12. From Aug. 13 to Aug. 19, hours are noon-5 p.m. The last day to swim is Aug. 19.

There is a general admission cost for ages 6-61, unless otherwise noted due to an event. Admission for children under age 6 and residents 62 and older is free. A photo ID is required.

Lehigh Valley with Littles has partnered with Whitehall Fire Department for a Stories at the Firehouse summer series program.

The Hokendauqua station will welcome kids 3 p.m. Aug. 12 to hear a story, meet and greet firefighters and see the firetrucks up close.

Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., will be hosting a Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative free community meal for low-income Whitehall and Coplay residents. The meal is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. Aug. 15. The meal is guaranteed for the first 100 guests.
