Registration for Egypt Memorial Park’s fall 2023 softball and baseball seasons for children ages 5-14 is open through Aug. 6.

An open baseball and softball practice will take place Aug. 4 for children who would like to meet the coaches and players and try out the sport before deciding whether to register.

There is a cost.

A country line dancing lesson has been scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Aug. 9 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4540 Hillcrest Lane. There is a cost.

Redeemed Christian Church of God Missions will sponsor a benefit concert 2-4 p.m. Aug. 12 at Saylor Park, 245 N. Second St., Coplay. The event will feature music, games and activities for children.

Admission is free.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., is collecting school supplies for distribution to students in Whitehall-Coplay School District. Help fill the Conestoga wagon in the center’s parking lot with backpacks, notebooks, pens and pencils, markers and crayons.

Whitehall Lions Club invites you to join them in service to the community. Club meetings include educational presentations by representatives of local organizations, planning and implementing service projects as well as socializing with club members.

The club meetings are held 6:30 p.m. the first and third Mondays each month at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St., Egypt. The first meeting of the 2023-24 year will be Aug. 21.
