Catasauqua: Park concert series continues

The free summer concert series continues with the Stefanie Johnson Band performing 7-10 p.m. Aug. 4 at the amphitheater at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St. Get out your lawn chairs and blankets, and settle in for a fun evening.

Catasauqua Community Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is having a half-price sale on everything in the store now through Aug. 12.

Regular thrift shop hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays. The shop is happy to accept donations of good, used, clean clothing and household items during store hours. Proceeds from the shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.

Catasauqua Club, 226 Pine St., will be having a basket social 5-8 p.m. Sept. 8 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 9. Tickets will be drawn 2 p.m. Sept. 9.

Food will be available for purchase, and there will be a bake sale and a 50/50 drawing.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., is hosting a mystery dinner theater night 5:30 p.m. Sept. 16. Presented by Without a Cue Productions LLC, the show is called “Once Bitten Twice Dead.”

Dinner includes herb-roasted chicken breast, roasted herb potatoes, salad, dessert and beverages.

Reserve your tickets by calling Debbie at 610-984-2105. Tickets are first come, first served.

Proceeds will benefit Bloom for Women, a safe house and center for abused women.
