Kathryn (Charles) Seidick best-selling author Kasey Michaels

Kathryn “Kathie” A. (Charles) Seidick, the New York Times bestselling author Kasey Michaels, of Whitehall, 79, died July 25. She was the wife of the late Michael “Mike” Seidick.

She was a daughter of the late Edward “Ed” and Catherine (Durkin) Charles.

She was a 1961 graduate of Whitehall High School where she was inducted as a “graduate of distinction” in 2015.

She was a bestselling author of more than 120 books. She appeared on the “TODAY” show. She was an honor roll author in Romance Writers of America Inc., a member of International Thriller Writers and past president of Novelists Inc. (NINC).

She is survived by a brother, Edward “Don” Charles and his wife Marie of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Bonnie (Charles) Brosious and her husband Carl of Whitehall; two sons, Michael E. of Bethlehem and his sons Michael R., Jacob and Evan; and Edward and his wife Tammy and their sons Mickey and Danny of Walnutport; and two daughters, Anne and husband Eric Csencsits of Coplay and their son Adam; and Megan and husband Joe Groller of Whitehall and their sons, Joey and Johnny.

She was predeceased by a son, Charles.

There will be a calling hour from 10 -11 a.m. on August 4 in the Gilbert Funeral Home Inc., 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, 18052.
