Ryan Woolley, of Bethlehem Township, received the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor held March 5, at St. John’s United Church of Christ. Ryan is a member of Boy Scout Troop 317, Bethlehem Township.
Ryan was required to plan, develop, and lead over 40 Scouts, leaders, adults, and friends over the course of several days as part of his Eagle Scout community service project. Ryan’s project, a treehouse observation deck, is located at the Camel’s Hump Farm located in Bethlehem Township.
Ryan was asked to design and build a raised deck that would be built into a hillside. The deck or “treehouse” is special needs accessible and gives the students the feeling of “floating off the ground.” It is surrounded by a safety railing and has a weed barrier underneath to stop undergrowth.
Ryan successfully completed his Eagle Scout board of review on July 25, 2022, with the Northampton District Advancement Committee.
Ryan is a graduate of Freedom HS and will study pre-med at King’s College in the fall. He is a member of the FHS National Honor Society and Men’s Lacrosse Team.
Ryan is the son of Brad and Jennifer Woolley of Bethlehem Township.
