“Lehigh Art Alliance 2022 Exhibition Award Winners,” through Aug. 11, Rotunda Gallery, Town Hall, Bethlehem, has a variety of works from 30 Lehigh Art Alliance (LAA) members.

“In 2022, we had seven shows,” says LAA President Elena Shackleton. “This [exhibition] represents the people who won awards from those shows.”

“There is such diversity,” says artist James A. DePietro of the 54 works by the 30 LAA members in the Rotunda exhibition. The work is in various media, genres and subject matter. “Yet it becomes a cohesive element,” DePietro says.

While much of the artwork in the Rotunda won awards in 2022, artists were allowed to submit other works for the exhibit if their award-winning pieces were sold.

The Rotunda exhibit includes work by Richard Begbie, Robyn Bingham, Nancy Bossert, Laura Brady, Georgios C-Kyriakos, Sandra Corpora, Amanda D’Agostino, James A. DePietro, John Dickerson, Brenda Gadow, Connie Gilbert, Erin Gill, Arlene Ginsburg, Barbara Greco, Luther Henninger, Diane Horoschock, Diane Hutchinson, Mary Millan Klunk, Barbara Kozero, Jacqueline Meyerson, Tomi Petrella, Denise Pollack, Maryann Riker, Pratibha Sane, Elena Shackleton, Susan Smerker, Isabella Sunday, Drew Tilton, Loretta Tryon and Keith Vogrin.

Of the LAA exhibitions held each year, four exhibitions are in the 1869 Luckenbach Mill in partnership with Bethlehem Museum and Sites.

“It’s good symbioses,” says Shackleton of the Luckenbach Mill location in the Colonial Industrial Quarter, adding, “We are out of the mill only two months of the year.”

The juried “LAA 88th Annual Summer Exhibition,” continues through Aug. 26 at the Luckenbach.

LAA has 163 paid members. The not-for-profit exhibits and promotes the art of its members and educates through partnerships and workshops.
