Thomas C. Snyder, Sr., 79, of Bath, formerly of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., died July 23, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township.
He and his wife, Beverly A. (Rumfield) Snyder, were married 56 years.
Born Oct. 28, 1943, in Easton, he was the son of the late Clayton D.E. and Rose N. (Blose) Snyder.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.
He owned and operated Mr. Handyman in New Smyrna Beach before retiring.
Before that, he was employed at the former Stroh’s Brewery, Fogelsville, and Horwith Trucking Inc., formerly in Ballietsville.
He attended St. John’s UCC, Laurys Station.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Thomas C. Snyder Jr. (Carolyn) of Schnecksville, Timothy R. Snyder (Traci) of Roseto, Terry A. Snyder (Natalie) of Slatington, and John T. Snyder at home; brother Robert H. Snyder of Mexico; grandchildren Adam, Angelica, Alyssa, Gabriel, Grace, Austin, Autumn and Heather; great-grandchildren Damien, Jagger, Thomas, Mackenziey and Ellie; and extended family.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. July 28 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. James T. Gottwald officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects 12:30-2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
