Thomas A. “Tom” Dooley, 63, of Slatington, died unexpectedly July 19, 2023, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Lehighton.
He and his wife, Antonia G. “Annette” (Spykers) Dooley, were married 34 years.
Born Oct. 23, 1959, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Carol A. (Martin) Dooley of Dresher and the late Thomas J. Dooley.
He was formerly employed at Horwith Trucks Inc., Northampton, before retiring in 2007.
An outstanding father, he took the most pride in his children.
A handyman who could build anything from scratch, he enjoyed fishing, sailing, NASCAR, going to the races and flying remote controlled airplanes.
He loved to fish with his children and “taking in the moment.”
In addition to his loving wife and mother, he is survived by children Kim A. Dooley of Slatington, Danielle C. Gates (Joshua) of Homer, Ark., and Thomas J. “T.J.” Dooley of Charlotte, N.C.; siblings Patricia Morgan (Michael) of Horsham, Michael Dooley (Cherrie) of Hatboro, Donna Mangiaruga (Frank) of North Wales, Mark Dooley (Anne) of Fort Washington, and Andrew Dooley of Horsham; and beloved grandson Mason River Gates.
