The annual planting and maintenance of the butterfly garden at Covered Bridge Park is one of Parkland Garden Club’s community projects.
Members work at the garden from April through September.
Many visitors to the park often compliment and thank garden club members for keeping the garden looking so beautiful.
The club donates the plants and South Whitehall Township donates mulch for the butterfly garden.
Boy Scout Troop 60 helps the garden club with spring cleanup.
Scoutmaster Jace Gill, Assistant Scoutmaster Damon Rosario, along with Boy Scouts Rishik Kalluri, Aashay Karandikar, Sachin Rajkumar, Guhan Sathish and Vihaan Vundela came to the garden on May 3 and quickly went to work, clearing the winter debris and spreading mulch.
