DUI

A 59-year-old male, of Allentown, allegedly was driving under the influence near the intersection of Minesite Road and Chatter Way, Lower Macungie Township, 12:44 a.m. June 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 63-year-old female, of Easton, allegedly was driving under the influence resulting in a one-vehicle crash near the intersection of South Cedar Crest Boulevard and Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:50 a.m. May 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle struck a grass embankment, according to authorities.

A 34-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly was driving under the influence near the intersection of Willow Lane and Sauerkraut Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 9:54 p.m. June 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Assault

A 36-year-old male, of Alburtis, was taken into custody for assault after he allegedly injured another person, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported on Aster Road, Lower Macungie Township, July 9.

A 25-year-old male, of Allentown, was arrested for assault after he allegedly injured another person at a location along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 6:04 p.m. June 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 71-year-old male, of Alburtis, was taken into custody for allegedly assaulting another person, causing facial injuries, at a location along Brookstone Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 7:07 p.m. July 6.

Accident

An Allentown motorist and her 3-year-old passenger escaped injury when their vehicle struck a residence in the 1800 block of Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 7:27 a.m. July 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was southbound when it left the road on a curve and hit the porch of a house. The crash damaged the passenger side front tire. The vehicle was towed from the crash scene, according to authorities.

Theft from vehicle

A catalytic converter, valued at $1,500, was removed from a vehicle on Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, overnight July 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two catalytic converters, with a total value of $8,000, were removed from a box truck parked at Dunkin’ Donuts, 4777 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. May 23, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A wallet was removed from a vehicle parked at a location along Hearth Lane, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 12.

A 34-year-old male, of Bethlehem, was arrested for allegedly attempting to enter five different vehicles parked at a residence along Elbow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between 3:57 and 4:10 a.m. June 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly attempted to enter the vehicles while wearing a face mask.

Dog law violation

A dog was attacked by another dog that was not on a leash along Rutherford Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The owner of the dog that was attacked reported the incident July 11, according to authorities.

Retail theft

Three people worked together to allegedly remove approximately $2,369 in merchandise in 16 minutes from Ulta Beauty, 833 N. Krocks Road, Suite 103, Lower Macungie Township, June 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The merchandise included makeup kits as well as individual eye pencils, lip oil and lip glosses. The incident was detailed in a news release as follows: The trio arrived at the retailer and two of the people entered the store where they allegedly “coordinated activities so that they could conceal merchandise,” according to authorities. One of the alleged thieves left the store with items she had not purchased. The third person entered the store, met the alleged thief who was still in the store and they allegedly worked together to remove more merchandise. They then left the store. The incident happened between 3:32 p.m. and 3:48 p.m., according to authorities.

Two 28-year-old males, both of Allentown, were arrested after they allegedly worked together to under-ring $958.62 worth of miscellaneous clothing and food at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:25 p.m. June 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two 24-year-old females, both of Allentown, were taken into custody for allegedly under-ringing items at a self-checkout terminal at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 2:09 p.m. June 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 24-year-old male and a 24-year-old female, both of College Point, N.Y., were taken into custody after allegedly attempting to remove $1,093.55 in merchandise from Target, 149 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:50 p.m. July 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities were called when the male and female were seen cutting security tags off items. When state police arrived, the woman was allegedly leaving the store with a shopping cart.

A 72-year-old female, of Macungie, allegedly failed to scan $243.33 worth of miscellaneous grocery items between March 6 and July 2 at Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft of vehicle

A small white and orange Razor MX650 electric dirt bike was taken from the parking lot at Weis Markets, 3440 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, while the motorist was in the store, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 6:13 p.m. May 31. The vehicle is valued at $300.

A black 2014 Honda Accord was removed from the pre-owned vehicle store of Ciocca Subaru, 4440 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities described the person who allegedly took the vehicle as a male, approximately 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans. The male also was carrying a book bag and several red bags. The incident was reported 1:43 p.m. June 28.

Burglary

Someone broke into a residence on Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township and removed copper pipes from the basement, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported June 11.

Scattering rubbish

A resident of Lincoln Drive, Lower Macungie Township, found trash, including several beer cans, dumped on their property, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 7:12 a.m. July 14.

Criminal mischief

Someone damaged a garage door at a residence along Whitemarsh Drive, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between June 29 and July 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Damage to the door was estimated at $600.

Theft

A Weber gas grill, valued at $600, was removed from a residence along Carmel Drive, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between June 22 and July 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Fleeing and eluding

A 17-year-old male, of Allentown and a 16-year-old female, of Macungie, were apprehended for fleeing and eluding authorities after they allegedly fled from a traffic stop along Fresh Meadow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 1:37 a.m. July 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The teens allegedly first fled the stop in their vehicle then abandoned the vehicle while it was in motion and fled on foot.
