Marie A. Mondschein, 81, of Whitehall, died July 21, 2023, at home after a short illness. She was the wife of the late John Mondschein.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Jennie (Kuder) Simon.

She grew up in Coopersburg and was a Southern Lehigh High School graduate.

She was a secretary at Service Tire Truck Centers and most recently at LVR Inc. She retired in 2014 after 57 years of working.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish for many years. She volunteered at the parish school, baking cakes for sales and serving food at the monthly breakfast gatherings.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra and her husband Jason Trexler of Breinigsville; a grandson, Gabriel; a sister, Helen Mohl of Emmaus; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Erdman; and a brother, Norman Simon.

There will be a viewing 9-10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10 a.m., July 27 at the church, 618 Fullerton Ave, Whitehall, 18052.
