Cassandra D. “Sandy” Sewell, 82, of Allentown, died July 17, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. She was the loving wife of the late Murray A. Sewell. Born in York, she was the daughter of George Sr. and Virginia (Gannett) Dellinger.

She graduated from William Penn Senior High School in 1958. She earned her LPN degree from York Vo Tech and worked at York Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years.

She was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, Allentown, where she volunteered.

She enjoyed knitting scarves for the homeless and crocheting.

She is survived by a son, Michael and his wife, Miyoko; daughter, Michelle Burdette; loving friend, Michelle Miller; grandchildren, Kayleigh Burdette, Marina, Miku, Ken; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by companion, Joseph A. Orlando.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
