Lehigh professor named art cohort
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, located in Bentonville, Arkansas, proudly announces the 2023-2024 cohort of Tyson Scholars, including Lehigh University’s own Florencia San Martín, assistant professor of art history.
The Tyson Scholars of American Art Program is a research and residency program that helps promote the study and understanding of American art.
With the Tyson Scholars of American Art program, Crystal Bridges joins other national institutions in supporting research that contributes to American art history. As of 2022, the program has supported 66 scholars. Based on research and writing while in residence, the scholars have collectively published 10 books, completed 13 dissertations, and submitted three articles.
Local resident earns academic award
Keenaan N. Elias, of Bethlehem, The University of Scranton’s class of 2023, was honored for academic excellence, service or both at a class night ceremony on campus May 19. He is a Liberty High School graduate.
The Excellence in Business Analytics Award recipient earned a bachelor’s degree in business analytics. He was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. He interned at the Small Business Development Center at the university. He is an associate data visualization engineer at PPL Electric, Allentown.
