Gov. Shapiro visits high school to discuss mental health issues

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro visited Parkland High School May 25 to discuss mental health issues among young people.

Joining him for the discussion was state Rep. Mike Schlossberg, D-132nd, and state Sen. Jarrett Coleman, R-16th.

Shapiro said he was very impressed with the candor and willingness to discuss the mental health challenges the students are dealing with.

Parkland senior Reva Gandhi spoke in terms of the students’ perspective regarding mental health and its impact on their lives, both in school and at home.
