The deadline for entering the Allentown Fair Queen contest has been extended to July 25.

The Allentown Fair Queen contest is for females between the ages of 16 and 20 years who are residents of Lehigh, Northampton or Berks counties.

The queen serves as a community spokesperson for The Great Allentown Fair and agriculture for the year of her reign.

A $1,500 scholarship is awarded to the winner, a $200 scholarship is awarded to the first alternate, and a community service award is also awarded.
