Robert W. “Bob” Farrar, 85, of Macungie, formerly of Hyattsville, Md., died July 10, 2023.

He and his wife, Doris M. (Jett), celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

Born in Portland Maine, he was a son of the late Arletta (Tucker) and Cecil Farrar.

An Air Force veteran, he was a graduate of Northwestern High School and Strayer College, both in Maryland, and furthered his studies at the University of Maryland.

Before retiring in 2000, he was employed by Maryland and New Jersey in their transportation fields and, later, at Air Products, Allentown.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Trucking Association and Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall, where he served as an usher.

He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Sheri Aikey (Phil), Vicki Kocis (James), and Traci Ginn (Dwayne); grandchildren Sheridan, Bennett, Jacob, Jon, Tanner and Andy; sister Katherine Bodington, Debbie Papanicolas and Linda Peyton; stepmother Lorraine; and maternal grandparents Gertrude “Mamie” and Ralph “Ampie.”

He was predeceased by his brother, John.
