Terroristic threats

Troopers were dispatched to Nordstrom Rack, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite 303, Lower Macungie Township, 1:38 p.m. June 14 after an employee received a call from a person stating there was a bomb in the store. The caller also demanded prepaid gift cards. Troopers evacuated the store. Investigators determined the threat was not credible and was one of several similar threats received in recent months during which callers have demanded gift card numbers.

Theft

A 36-year-old female, of Allentown, was an employee at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, when she allegedly stole $12,400 cash from the store between May 12 and May 17, according to Pennsylvania State Fogelsville. The employee’s tasks included transferring cash from the store registers to a secure location, according to authorities. The theft was reported May 21.

A wallet containing $10 cash, several credit cards, a debit card and a driver’s license, was removed from a purse while its owner was shopping at Costco Wholesale, 791 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. May 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The debit card was used at a nearby store to make several purchases, according to authorities.

Two people allegedly worked together to remove a shopper’s wallet while she was at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:42 p.m. June 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Surveillance video showed a man and woman monitoring the shopper in the store. The wallet contained a driver’s license, a medical insurance card, vaccination card, organ donation card, store loyalty cards, two credit cards and a debit card. Unsuccessful attempts were made to use one of the credit cards. The alleged thieves left the area in a white sedan, according to authorities.

DUI

A 41-year-old male, of Wescosville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop near the intersection of Oplinger Road and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:39 a.m. June 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 64-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after state troopers responded to a call for a disabled pickup truck in the area of North Krocks Road and U.S. Route 222, Lower Macungie Township, 7:05 p.m. May 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Troopers found the truck unattended in the intersection and the driver outside a nearby restaurant, according to authorities.

A 29-year-old female, of Bethlehem, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers were called to a location on Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 10:29 p.m. April 29 to check on a woman seen stumbling before getting into the driver’s seat of a vehicle, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old female, of Allentown, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash along Mountain Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:18 a.m. May 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 29-year-old male, of Easton, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after troopers were dispatched to the area of U.S. Route 222 and North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:17 a.m. May 5 for a vehicle stuck in the mud after the motorist tried to turn around in a farm field, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft of motor vehicle

A box truck was not returned to U-Haul rentals, Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 1:05 p.m. June 12.

Three all-terrain vehicles were removed from Blackmans Cycle, 4911 Buckeye Road, Upper Milford Township, possibly between 5 p.m. May 20 and 9:58 a.m. May 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft from vehicle

A laptop computer, valued at $1,200 and approximately $90 in cash were removed from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 6200 block of Wheatland Drive, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 8:30 p.m. April 26 and 4 a.m. April 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A Bluetooth speaker, valued at $219 and a black iTouch Wearable, valued at $199, were missing from a vehicle on Stonecroft Lane, Lower Macungie Township, after two unknown people were seen entering unlocked vehicles in the area 2:06 a.m. April 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Four credit cards, $60 cash, a Social Security card, a wallet, a debit card and an auto club card were among items found missing from several vehicles in the area of the 3700 block of Clay Drive, Lower Macungie Township, after one person learned cash and other items were taken from his vehicle June 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Drug possession

A motorist allegedly had marijuana, Tetrahydrocannabinol cartridges and related paraphernalia at a traffic stop near the intersection of Willow Lane and Pinecrest Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 10:40 p.m. June 9, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 40-year-old female, of Alburtis, was arrested for harassment and related charges after she allegedly harmed another person at a location on Greystone Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 12:11 a.m. June 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A person was charged with harassment after surveillance video showed the person allegedly slapping another person in the face during a fight at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:53 a.m. June 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

DUI crash

A 27-year-old motorist, of Zionsville, was hurt when his pickup truck struck a raised rock wall and overturned near the intersection of Saint Peters Road and Bachman Road, Upper Milford Township, 7:48 p.m. June 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was traveling west on Saint Peters Road when it went of the road, crashed and toppled and a tire caught fire. The motorist was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for suspected injuries. Macungie EMS, Upper Milford fire crews and Mechanics Plus also responded. The motorist was allegedly driving under the influence at the time of the crash, according to authorities.

A 65-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after an investigation of a hit-and-run crash near the intersection of Bachman Road and Saint Peters Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:06 p.m. May 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Motorcycle accident

A 29-year-old male, of Quakertown, was hurt when he fell from his motorcycle in a crash in Lower Milford Township 7:08 p.m. June 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorcyclist was traveling north on Chestnut Hill Church Road and lost control while turning left onto Acorn Drive, according to authorities. Mechanics Plus also responded. In a news release, authorities described the motorcyclist’s injuries as “serious but nonlife threatening” and his loss of control as due to “traveling too fast for roadway conditions.”

Criminal mischief

Someone threw a can and a bottle of water at a vehicle during a road rage incident in the area of U.S. Route 222 and North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 5:10 p.m. June 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The can and bottle caused minor damage to the vehicle.

A resident of Saint Peters Road, Upper Milford Township, discovered their vehicle was damaged overnight, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 9:24 a.m. June 3.
