Robert W. “Bob” Farrar, 85, of Macungie, formerly of Hyattsville, Md., died July 10, 2023. He was the husband of Doris M. (Jett) for 64 years. Born in Portland, Maine, he was a son of the late Arletta (Tucker) and Cecil Farrar.

He was a graduate of Northwestern High School and Strayers College (both in Maryland) and furthered his studies at the University of Maryland.

He was an Air Force veteran.

Before retiring in 2000, he was employed by the states of Maryland and New Jersey in their transportation fields and, later, at Air Products, Allentown, and was a member of the PA Trucking Association.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown, where he served as an usher. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Sheri Aikey (Phil), Vicki Kocis (James), Traci Ginn (Dwayne); grandchildren, Sheridan, Bennett, Jacob, Jon, Tanner, Andy; sisters, Katherine Bodington, Debbie Papanicolas, Linda Peyton; stepmother, Lorraine; maternal grandparents, Gertrude “Mamie” and Ralph “Ampie.” He was predeceased by a brother, John.
