Public Library of Catasauqua: Yard sale to benefit library

Who doesn’t love a good community yard sale?

Community equals people with common interests living in a particular area.

Calling all in our community: Mark your calendar for Aug. 12. That’s the day you can seize a bargain and help the library at Holy Trinity Lutheran Memorial Church’s yard sale. It will be 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church, 604 Fourth St., Catasauqua.

Food and drinks will be served.

Proceeds will benefit the Public Library of Catasauqua. The yard sale proceeds are key to the financial health of the library.

Together with grants and donations from members of our municipalities, we can keep providing services and activities for everyone in our community.

Here are some of the activities we offer: storytime, craft activities, new books, books for sale, a book club, teen and preteen activities, stitches club, movie mornings, Friends of the Library meetings, tutoring space and more.

Last year, Holy Trinity Memorial Church members generously gave their time to help the library put together the yard sale.

This year, the library is responsible for most of the organization of this event. The Friends of the Library group has offered its services in preparing for the sale and clearing up after.

If you can help arrange the items for sale the week before or clean up after, give the library a call at 610-264-4151 and you will be put on the schedule.

Please come and support us. Make this another great fundraising success for the library.

A big shout-out to Holy Trinity for enabling us to hold this event.
