Northampton: Community Days Fair runs July 19-22

The 2023 Northampton Community Days Fair runs July 19-22 at Municipal Park, Smith Lane and Laubach Avenue.

There will be food, music, rides and activities for the whole family, culminating in the fireman’s parade and fireworks July 22.

The Siegfried Railroad Station Museum is taking part in the Lehigh Valley Passport to History program. It will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 22 and noon-4 p.m. July 23.

The station, on West 21st Street in Northampton, houses artifacts of the borough and surrounding area. Scrapbooks with pictures of men and women who served in World War II are still able to be perused. A display of Haff Hospital is new this year.

Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo will hold its third annual fundraiser 10 a.m.-3 p.m. July 22 at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, 2110 Canal St. There will be crafts and vendors, a 50/50 raffle, a basket social, door prizes, food, live music and trophies for cars and bikes.

Admission is free, but there is a fee associated with car and bike registration, which will begin 10 a.m., with kickstands up 11 a.m. A rain date has been set for Aug. 26.

Proceeds go to the Prager Patient Assistance Fund in the Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., is hosting a concert in the church sanctuary 7:30 p.m. July 23. The Jerusalem Singers will be performing. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall.

There is no cost, but a freewill offering will be accepted for Satori’s Gift of Music, a charity designed to collect and refurbish old instruments to donate to local children. Also accepted will be donations of used musical instruments. No keyboard instruments will be accepted.

Northampton Area High School’s girls volleyball team is hosting a camp for girls entering grades 4-6.

The camp is set for 9 a.m.-noon July 25-27 in the gymnasium at NAHS, 1619 Laubach Ave. There is a fee.

The camp will focus on teaching volleyball fundamentals and introductory skills. It will be staffed by head varsity coach Mike Holihan, high school and middle school coaching staff and varsity team players.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., is currently registering for the 2023-24 school year.

The 2-year-old playgroup class will meet 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12 children, who do not need to be toilet trained for this class.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for this class.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1.
