Registration for Egypt Memorial Park’s fall 2023 field hockey season for children in kindergarten through sixth grade is open until July 21.

Children ages 5-14 may register for the fall 2023 softball and baseball seasons through Aug. 6. There is a cost.

To register, go to egyptpark.org and click Online Sports Registration.

Two free open baseball and softball practices will take place Aug. 2 and 4 for children who would like to meet the coaches and players and try out the sport before deciding whether to register.

The band Subject to Changes will perform 7-10 p.m. July 29 at Egypt Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Road.

Bring folding chairs or a blanket to enjoy this concert at the Post’s outdoor pavilion.

The event is open to the public. There is a cover charge for nonmembers.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is planning its annual picnic and worship service for July 30 at Egypt Memorial Park, 4548 Main St.

The service begins 10:15 a.m., and the picnic follows noon.

The church will provide hot dogs. Bring a salad, casserole or dessert to share.

Remember to bring chairs and a beverage.
