Coplay: Sons of Izzy to perform July 21
Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., announces its lineup for the Friday night concerts.
The doors and kitchen open 5 p.m. Bands perform 6-10 p.m.
The lineup is Sons of Izzy July 21, Trick Stacy July 28, Chelsea Lyn Meyer Aug. 4, Video Daze Aug. 11, Trick Stacy Aug. 18 and Honey Buzzards Aug. 25.

Coplay Sports is holding in-person sign-ups for the fall season.
Baseball is for ages 4-15, and softball is for ages 5-8.
Sign-ups are planned for noon-2 p.m. July 22 and 29 at the Coplay Sports club house, 666 Potter Terrace.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is planning to hold its annual congregation picnic 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 23 at the American Club of Coplay pavilion, 300 Cherry St.
Registration is set for 10 a.m., followed by a worship 11 a.m. and a Vacation Bible School closing program.
There will be lunch, games, music, dancing and more. There is a cost.

St. John’s is planning its offerings for the food stand at Coplay Community Days, including pork barbecue, cabbage and noodles, clam chowder, hot dogs and drinks.

The Coplay Wednesday night summer series continues 6-9 p.m. at the borough’s Community Plaza, North Second and Chestnut streets.
Upcoming concerts will include Steve Brosky and Jimmy Meyers Aug. 16, the Castaways Aug. 30, Third Hand Trio Sept. 6 and the Jenni Hackett Duo Sept. 13.
The bands performing July 26 and Aug. 2 are still to be announced.

Coplay Community Days is next month. Called the “Best festival in the Lehigh Valley,” it features quality entertainment, great food and fun.
The planning committee is expanding its kids activities over the event weekend. The committee meets 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of every month in council chambers, 98 S. Fourth St.
These meetings are open to the public.

Coplay Garden Club meets 7 p.m. the last Thursday of the month at St. John’s Lutheran Church social hall.

Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.
If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.
The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta and rice pouches.
