Hicks earns dean’s list honor
Madison Hicks, of Catasauqua, has been named to Commonwealth University-Lock Haven’s spring 2023 dean’s list. The dean’s list, prepared at the end of each semester, recognizes those students who have achieved academic distinction. To qualify for this honor, the student must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 in 12 or more semester hours of letter grades.
Lebanon Valley College
Students named to dean’s list
Lebanon Valley College congratulates the more than 800 students named to the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.
Bath: Cody Schucker, a graduate of Northampton Area High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.
Whitehall: Megan Kelly, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders.
Lebanon Valley College, founded in 1866, offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 50 majors; master’s degrees in accounting (MBA 3+1), applied kinesiology, athletic training, business administration, clinical exercise physiology, clinical mental health counseling, education, intelligence and security studies, music education, school counseling, science in STEM education, speech-language pathology and sport performance; a doctoral degree in physical therapy; ACT 48 continuing education for educator credits; and certificates in comprehensive curriculum and assessment for preK-grade 12; healthcare management; integrative STEM education; leadership and ethics; marketing; modern band; online teaching and learning; project management; social, emotional and behavioral wellness; sport enhancement; supply chain management; and logistics and trauma-informed counseling.
This college of 1,600 undergraduate and 400-plus graduate students produces alumni who attend prestigious graduate and professional schools and are employed by top companies and school districts.
Thirty-one percent of our students are first generation (40% of first-year class), 21% of fall 2022 first-year students were Pell-eligible. and 100% of the fall 2021 incoming class received grant or scholarship aid from LVC. More than 35% of our students participate on our 27 NCAA Division III athletic teams or eSports teams, and our students volunteer more than 20,000 hours of community service during the academic year.

Dean’s list names announced
More than 1,300 students were named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at York College of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Slippery Rock University
Hale, Huymaier named to dean’s list
Slippery Rock University has announced its dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester, among them Makenzie Hale and Andrew Huymaier, both of Northampton. The dean’s list consists of SRU undergraduate students who earned an adjusted semester GPA of 3.5 or higher, based on a schedule of at least 12 newly attempted and earned credits.

James Madison University announced the students on the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester. Students who earn dean’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

Schmeckenbecher named to president’s list
Whitehall resident Graydon Schmeckenbecher was named to the president’s list at James Madison University for the spring 2023 semester. Students who earn president’s list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.9 or above. Schmeckenbecher is working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
Missouri State University
Frace named to dean’s list
Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list. For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.5 GPA. Virginia Frace, of Bath, made the list. Frace was among more than 4,700 students named to the spring 2023 dean’s list.
