Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

JUNE 1

Officers conducted welfare checks in the 700 block of Second Street and the 100 block of Howertown Road.

In the 100 block of Howertown Road, a parking complaint was addressed.

Jared Martnick, 38, of Catasauqua, was arrested for theft by unlawful taking or disposition-other over $200 movable property and receiving stolen property-other over $200 at Catty Mart, 547 Front St.

The thefts of catalytic converters took place in the 100 block of Race Street, the 700 block of Second Street and the 600 block of Third Street.

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers in executing a search warrant in the 1000 block of Second Street and Lehigh County Children and Youth in the 200 block of Front Street.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., cash was reported stolen.

At North Dauphin and North Irving streets, Hanover Township, a warning was issued for a traffic violation.

The theft of services in the 200 block of Second Street was investigated.

JUNE 2

A catalytic converter was stolen in the 100 block of Race Street.

In the 300 block of Race Street, officers responded to a child custody issue.

A blackmail/extortion case in the 200 block of High Street was investigated.

Charges are pending in a protection-from-abuse violation in the unit block of Cambridge Place.

Police assisted North Catasauqua officers at Third and Arch streets, North Catasauqua.

JUNE 3

Officers assisted Pennsylvania State Police on Dauphin Street, Hanover Township, for an animal complaint.

A vehicle was ticketed in the 200 block of Front Street for a parking violation regarding private property.

Illegal dumping in the 400 block of Front Street was reported.

A domestic disturbance occurred in the 100 block of Front Street.

A report of an unwanted person had police in the 500 block of Howertown Road.

JUNE 4

A noise complaint was addressed at 301 Mulberry St.

Officers assisted a citizen in the 100 block of Race Street and North Catasauqua police in the 1200 block of Fifth Street, North Catasauqua.

Animal complaints were investigated in the 400 block of St. John Street and the unit block of Stonewood Place.

Criminal mischief to a vehicle window in the 200 block of Circle Drive was reported.

JUNE 5

Officers assisted Emmaus police in the 100 block of Second Street, Catasauqua, and Blue Guardian in the unit block of Pineapple Street.

A traffic enforcement took place in the 900 block of Race Street.

Jennifer Gonzalez, 32, of Catasauqua, was arrested for simple assault and harassment in the 200 block of Howertown Road.

Residents in the 200 block of Lehigh Street were warned when officers responded to a noise complaint.

JUNE 6

Traffic violations occurred on Second Street, with the driver cited, and at Front and Strawberry streets.

A 14-year-old male was arrested for a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and use of tobacco in schools (prohibited) at Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.

In the 700 block of Limestone Street, a verbal domestic disturbance took place.

Shots fired in the unit block of Race Street were reported to police.

JUNE 7

Traffic violations took place on Pine Street, with the driver cited, and at Fourth and Pine streets.

Parking complaints were addressed at Peach Street and Howertown Road and in the 300 block of Peach Street, with a ticket issued.

At Second and Pine streets, a reportable motor vehicle accident occurred.

Officers assisted Pennsylvania State Police in the 600 block of Second Street.

In the 300 block of Walnut Street, police responded to a domestic disturbance.

JUNE 8

An emergency protection-from-abuse service was conducted in the 500 block of Front Street.

A driver was cited on Second Street for a traffic violation.

No arrests were made following a domestic disturbance over custody at Howertown Road and Pine Street.

Officers conducted a welfare check regarding a juvenile issue in the 1300 block of Third Street, North Catasauqua.

Police assisted Lehigh County Children and Youth in the 900 block of Race Street.

A suspicious male in the unit block of Second Street was reported.

An Australian cattle dog was lost in the 100 block of Mulberry Street, the report said.

Police and the department’s K-9 assisted in the 3000 block of Fairfield Drive, Salisbury Township.

Criminal mischief in the 500 block of St. John Street was reported.

Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of St. John Street.

JUNE 9

A suspicious vehicle at Pine and American streets was reported.

In the 700 block of Race Street, a driver was cited for a traffic violation.

Officers responded to an animal complaint in the 200 block of Race Street.

A civil issue in the 200 block of Bridge Street had police at the scene.

JUNE 10

Police investigated a civil matter in the 100 block of Front Street.

An animal complaint in the 500 block of East Wood Street was addressed.

In the unit block of Covington Place, a domestic disturbance took place.

An unwanted person in the 100 block of Railroad Street was reported.

Noise complaints at the same residence in the 600 block of Howertown Road were reported to the department, with the latter investigation resulting in a warning.
