Michele K. Grammes, 67, of Allentown, died July 6, 2023, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

The wife of Roark D. Grammes, the couple shared more than 32 years of marriage.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Michael Jr. and Anna E. (Konyu) Gonda and the stepdaughter of the late M. Margaret Gonda.

She was a member of Morgenland Union Church, Orefield.

Before retiring, she worked 18 years in marketing for Clear Channel airport advertising and previously at KidsPeace.

She will be remembered for her love of travel, visiting casinos, shore excursions with her girlfriends, her pets past and present, and mostly being with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother Tom Gonda and his wife, Marsha, of Bethlehem; nephew Joseph Hartner and his wife, Heather, of Danielsville; and a host of nieces and nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by her sister Theresa Hartner.

Services will be at 11 a.m. July 14 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. Calling will begin at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joshua’s FOP, to support research and awareness for such a rare disease, or to the Sanctuary of Haafsville, c/o the funeral home.
