Dawn D. Huff
Dawn D. Huff, 80, beloved mother and best friend, of Allentown, formerly of Center Valley, died June 30, 2023, while in the comfort of loving family.
She was the wife of Gary L. Huff.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Arlean E. (Kleckner) Stringer.
A 1960 graduate of William Allen High School, she was employed at General Electric for many years before retiring in 1985.
Later, she became a Realtor for John Locher Century 21 Real Estate.
She was a member of the former St. James Lutheran Church, Allentown.
Having an ability to put people at ease and to make fast friends, she was known for her quick wit and unsparing humor.
At the same time, her compassion and empathy touched the hearts of the people who knew her.
She was an animal lover who owned both an AKC-registered show dog and several dogs adopted from shelters.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed antique auctions.
A proud and involved mother and grandmother, she loved to attend academic, sports, and artistic events in which her children and grandchildren participated. The family’s hearts are truly broken and living life without her will never be the same.
The family will take the love and wisdom she gave them and carry on with a piece of her until they meet again. Soar high, Dawn!
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Jamie L. Musolino and her husband, Larry S., of Allentown; sons Brett A. and Craig L. Huff, both of Allentown; sister Dolly, wife of Lee Butz, of Allentown; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Nicholas and wife, Akiko Chiba-Musolino, Katie and husband, Jon Stern, Sarah, Tessa, C.J. and Mason; and great-grandchildren Ella, Miles, Theodore and Sam.
