Dog law violation

A boy was hurt when a dog bit him while he was in Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:31 p.m. May 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The boy had minor injuries, according to authorities. The owner of the dog allegedly left the store with the dog when confronted about the incident, according to authorities.

Someone allegedly abandoned a dog at the Spring Creek Estates recreational area, 1500 Fitch Drive, Lower Macungie Township, around 1:30 p.m. May 31, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The dog is described by authorities as a black female pit bull. The person who left the dog at the location is described as approximately 30 years old with a dark beard. The person allegedly left the area in a silver Toyota Corolla.

Indecent assault

A resident of Churchview Road, Upper Milford Township, told authorities about possible abuse of his young son, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported May 20.

Theft of motor vehicle

A 2014 white Suzuki motorcycle was removed from the driveway of a location along Pine Grove Circle, Lower Macungie Township, between 5:30 p.m. May 25 and 7 a.m. May 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Theft

Copper grave markers were removed from locations in the Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery, Lower Milford Township, between May 24, 2022 and May 24, 2023, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

An ATV/motorcycle jack was removed from a location on Riverbend Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The jack, valued at $300, was reported missing May 24 but may have been taken the week before.

A business check from Mechanics Plus Towing, Colebrook Avenue, Upper Milford Township, was stolen, altered and cashed for $7,999.99 in the Bronx, N.Y., according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 23.

A delivered package was found empty at a location in the 6000 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 23.

Accidents

A Coopersburg motorist was hurt when his vehicle struck a pole and a residence in the 3000 block of Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, 7:13 p.m. April 19, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Authorities described the motorist as traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle, a Ford pickup truck, became airborne as it crossed raised railroad tracks intersecting the road. The truck hit the pole before striking the house. The crash caused minor damage to the residence. Mechanics Plus Towing also responded. The motorist was transported by Emmaus EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital. A passenger in the vehicle refused transportation. Upper Milford Township fire crews also responded, according to authorities.

A motorist was badly hurt in a one-vehicle crash when his sport utility vehicle slid into a tree, trapping him inside, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling southbound on Vera Cruz Road near the intersection with Kings Highway South, Upper Milford Township, at approximately 11:45 p.m. March 25 when his vehicle went off the right side of the road. The motorist overcorrected, according to authorities and the vehicle struck an Upper Milford Township sign on the left side of the road before hitting a wall and sliding into the tree. The driver was mechanically extricated from the vehicle, according to authorities.

A motorcyclist was hurt when he was thrown from his bike on Pennsylvania Route 309 near Interstate 78, Lower Macungie Township, 7:29 p.m. April 11, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorcycle was southbound in the left lane when the motorcyclist lost control on a curve. The motorcycle struck a guide rail and the driver was thrown about 15 feet and landed on the grass to the right of the road. The driver complained of pain in his right shoulder but refused medical attention, according to authorities.

Retail theft

Someone allegedly removed approximately $1,300 worth of merchandise from Weis Markets, 3340 Grandview Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between July 1, 2022 and March 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported by loss prevention personnel at the store, according to authorities.

Two people allegedly removed $500 worth of allergy medication from CVS Pharmacy, state Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, March 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Two people allegedly worked together to remove $5,000 worth of merchandise within two minutes from a retailer along North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, March 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Troopers were called to Walgreens, 6379 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, for a disturbance 8:15 a.m. March 18 and determined merchandise was removed from the store during the disturbance, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A person wearing a white and blue tracksuit allegedly was seen putting items into a bag by a store manager at CVS Pharmacy, state Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Feb. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The person fled the store when confronted by the store manager.

A person allegedly removed several items by concealing the items in a bag at retailer Nordstrom Rack, 750 N. Krocks Road, Suite #303, Lower Macungie Township, March 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 31-year-old male, of Easton, was cited for criminal harassment after he allegedly struck another person in the face during an argument in a vehicle along Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 11:05 p.m. March 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 26-year-old male, of Slatington, was charged with harassment after he allegedly punched and kicked a vehicle in a parking lot during a dispute at Wawa convenience store and gas station, 3321 Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 8:52 p.m. March 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male fled the scene but was later apprehended, according to authorities.

Theft from vehicle

A catalytic converter and a piece of vehicle exhaust were removed from a pickup truck parked in a driveway in the 5900 block of Saint Peters Road, Upper Milford Township, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. May 25, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Identity theft

A resident of Jarrett Farm Road, Lower Macungie Township, learned a bank account was opened in his name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 23.

A resident of Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned a bank account was opened in her name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 9.

A resident of Manzanita Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned a bank account was opened in her name, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 23.

A resident of Acorn Drive, Upper Milford Township, learned his personal information was used to open an AT&T account in Alabama, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported March 23.

A woman told authorities $400 was removed from a gift card, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported at CVS Pharmacy, 958 S. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, March 22.

A woman told authorities her credit card number was stolen and was charged $4,675 for online gambling, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported at a location on East Texas Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:45 a.m. March 11.
