LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Summer soccer winding down

One game remains for teams participating in the Lehigh Valley Summer Soccer League at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus where Bethlehem Catholic’s girls will face Jersey Dogs on July 5.

After winning its first three games, Becahi went on to defeat Stroudsburg, 5-0, on June 14 and lost to Jersey Dogs, 2-1, on June 19.

On June 21, Becahi beat Catasauqua, 9-0, and on June 28, tied Palisades, 1-1.

“We have a full roster so that is optimistic,” said Becahi head coach Brad Kratzer. “A lot of cautious optimism for this team going into fall.”

Becahi players include rising seniors Gabby Mutis, Lia Logaivau, Maddie Nichelson, Makenzie Davis, and Summer Hill and rising juniors Joanne Bozzi, Molly Ludwig, Sarah Gowell, and Tealyn Boyle.

Rising sophomores are Audrey VanHaute, Ella Troxell, Jaon Lee, Kristen McMenimen, Miranda Sedor, Sophia Arvelo, and Tallia Hill, and rising freshmen include Abbey Dieterich, Anna Truscott, Rio Stoudt, and Vivian Dieterich.

Rising eighth grader Tyleigh Boyle is also on the team.

Becahi is one of the top eight teams in the girls division and will compete in playoffs, which are scheduled to begin on July 10.
