Northampton: Community Days Fair planned

The 2023 Northampton Community Days Fair runs July 19-22 at Municipal Park on Laubach Avenue.

There will be food, music, rides and activities for the whole family, culminating in the fireman’s parade and fireworks July 22.

Reminder: Orders are due July 9 for Grace United Church of Christ’s hoagie and sandwich sale, with pickup set for 4-6 p.m. July 12 at the church, 902 Lincoln Ave.

Northampton Fire Department Station 42 is hosting a youth summer camp July 10-14. Designed for young men and women ages 12-15 years of age, the camp will feature events such as learning what a firefighter does, hands-on training, team building and more.

The camp, open to borough residents only, will run 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. each day with a graduation ceremony July 15. There is a fee.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet July 12 at Northampton Banquet and Events Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 11 a.m.

All members and visitors must check in at the door.

Pink Pumpkins Coins 4 Chemo will hold its third annual fundraiser 10 a.m.-3 p.m. July 22 at Tri-Boro Sportsman’s Club, 2110 Canal St. There will be crafts and vendors, a 50/50 raffle, a basket social, door prizes and food, as well as live music and trophies for cars and bikes.

Admission is free, but there is a fee associated with car and bike registration, which will begin 10 a.m., with kickstands up 11 a.m.

A rain date has been set for Aug. 26.

Grace UCC is hosting a concert in the church sanctuary, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. July 23. The Jerusalem Singers will be performing. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall.

There is no cost, but a freewill offering will be accepted for Satori’s Gift of Music, a charity designed to collect and refurbish old instruments to donate to local children. Also accepted at the concert will be donations of used musical instruments. No keyboard instruments will be accepted.

Northampton Area High School’s girls volleyball team is hosting a camp for girls entering grades 4-6 from 9 a.m. to noon July 25-27 in the gymnasium at NAHS, 1619 Laubach Ave. The camp will focus on teaching volleyball fundamentals and introductory skills involving passing, serving, hitting and ball control.

There is a fee required for registration.
