Theodore C. Rothrock Sr.

Theodore C. “Ted” Rothrock Sr., 87, of Schnecksville, died in Lehigh Valley Hospice Inpatient Unit, Allentown.

He was the husband of the late Gouldie M. (Schultz) Rothrock.

Born March 8, 1936, in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Theodore F. and Thelma E. (Quier) Rothrock.

He faithfully and honorably served in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

He was a supervisor at Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 30 years before retiring in 1987.

Since his formal retirement, he drove school bus in the Parkland School District for more than 20 years.

Active in the life of his community, he was a past president and former trustee of Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville, past Noble Grand of Jordan Lodge 192, I.O.O.F., Schnecksville, a member of the Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville, and a Grundsau Lodge member.

He was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

His survivors include children Jeffrey A. Rothrock (Michelle) of Neffs, Douglas Rothrock (Nancy) of Slatedale, and Kelly A. Stubits (Matthew) of Slatington; brothers Kenneth R. Rothrock of Neffs, and Donald C. Rothrock (Judy) of Coplay; grandchildren Tonya, Tamara, Sherry, Brandon, Jordon, Corey, Christopher, Dustin and Derek; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by children Theodore C. Rothrock Jr. and Jane L. Wolfe; and siblings Bruce L. Rothrock Sr. and Patricia R. Frey.

Family and friends may pay their respects 4-6 p.m. June 29 at Jordan UCC, 1837 Church Road, Allentown, in the church parlor.

A joint memorial service for him and his wife will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

Food and refreshments will follow the service in the social hall.

Private interment at Jordan UCC Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund c/o the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
