Allentown-

South Parkland

Allentown jumped out to an early two-run lead with two runs in its first at-bats. South Parkland answered immediately with two runs of its own in the bottom of the first as Xander Provence and Kurt Meehan hit back-to-back, one-out doubles to score the first run and then Jaiden Wanamaker recorded a run-scoring single to tie the game.

Connor Gerhart’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second gave his team a 3-2 advantage and then Griffin Patridge’s RBI double in the third extended the lead to 4-2.

Allentown tied the game at 4-4 with two runs in the top of the fifth, before the Trojans quickly took the lead right back thanks to Patridge’s two-run triple. Meehan, Sean Superka and Wanamaker all earned RBIs in a four-run bottom of the sixth to put the game out of reach.

Wanamaker and Patridge both finished with three RBIs, with the former totaling a team-high three hits. Both Patridge and Superka had two hits. Mack Parsell came on to pitch in relief in the fifth and threw the rest of the game, earning the win.

North Parkland-

South Parkland

North Parkland got on the scoreboard first with a run in its first at-bats in the top of the first inning. Andrew Beers led off the game with a walk and then later stole second during the ensuing at-bat. Beers came home to score the game’s first run two batters later after Matthew Razzis singled on the first pitch he saw to pick up the RBI.

South Parkland responded with a two-run, bottom of the second inning to take its first lead of the game. A one-out walk by Ben Stay was followed by back-to-back singles from John Friday and Jack Streeter, the latter recording an RBI. A balk by North Parkland on the mound allowed another run to score in the frame and the Trojans went ahead 2-1.

After two scoreless innings, the Buffaloes would tie the game at 2-2, as a one-out single by Tsubasa Magota proved crucial as he came around to score one batter later on a run-scoring single from Beers.

The teams would go through a scoreless sixth inning to set up for a dramatic seventh. After getting three straight outs in the top-half of the seventh, South Parkland did not make an out in the bottom-half of the frame, sending four batters to the plate, with two walks and a single to open up the inning. A walk to Parsell with the bases loaded ended the game.

Streeter led the lineup with two hits. Andrew Klotz pitched the seventh and earned the victory on the mound.
