Whitehall Township Public Library: Join the library for special bingo July 5

A kids’ Binglow event is set for 6 p.m. July 5 at Whitehall Township Public Library. Enjoy the bingo game you know and love with glow-in-the-dark ambience. All kids are welcome.

No registration is required.

Learn about the role of forensic anthropology in criminal investigation during the Bone Detectives program, set for 6 p.m. July 6. Presented by the Mutter Museum, this program is held on Zoom. Participants may Zoom from home or watch on a screen at the library.

This program is for adults 18 and older.

Registration is requested.

A night for teens is set for 5-7 p.m. July 7. Teens can hang out with their friends after hours at the library. Join in for food and games.

Learn more about binary code through beading 11 a.m. July 11. Make friendship jewelry in binary code, which represents text, computer processor instructions or any other data using a two-symbol system.

The program is for youth in grades 3-12.

A summer mocktail event for adults is set for 6 p.m. July 11. Stations and supplies will be set up so that you can try your hand at making your own mocktails.

Super Science and Amazing Art will return 6 p.m. July 12.

Kids can explore science and our relationship to our planet and each other. The program is motivational, educational and, most of all, fun!

Preschool storytime is set for 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday in July, and toddler storytime is held 11 a.m. every Thursday in July.

The summer reading program - All Together Now - continues through Aug. 5. Join the library for events, reading challenge incentives and prizes.

The library will host book discussions for Whitehall-Coplay School District middle and high school students based on their school summer reading requirements. For each grade, we will discuss one book, broken up into two sessions.

July’s museum pass spotlight is the Museum of the American Revolution, 101 S. Third St., Philadelphia. Celebrate our country’s independence with a visit to the museum. The space holds an expansive collection of art, manuscripts and printed works from the nation’s Revolutionary period.

Museum passes are free with your LCLC library card. The pass allows two adults and four children into the museum. Passes must be checked out and returned to the library circulation desk.

Join the library’s adult book club - On the Same Page. This club will meet 6:30 p.m. the third Thursday of every other month. Books will be loaned as availability allows.

The reading schedule includes the following books: “Black Cake,” Aug. 17; “Home Before Dark,” Oct. 19; and “Firekeeper’s Daughter,” Nov. 16.

The library is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
