Robert B. Urland, 86, of Lower Macungie Township, died June 21, 2023, at The Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of Catherine E. (Searfoss) Urland. They would have observed 67 years of marriage this November. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William and Arlene (Sell) Urland.

He was a custodian for 34 years in the East Penn School District until retiring. He was a volunteer fireman for 30 years with the Emmaus Fire Company.

He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Emmaus.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Lynn Walters, widow of Joel; sons, Troy and his wife, Jill, Kevin and his wife, Kirstin; grandchildren, Dustin (Samantha), Dillon (Morgan), Madison; goddaughter, Carol Eidle; brothers, William (Chloe), Barry (Kay); sister, Gloria Heim (Harold); sisters-in-law, Jean Augustine and Gail. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Joel Walters and a brother, Richard.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. June 28 at St. John’s UCC, 139 N. Fourth St., Emmaus. A calling hour will be held 10 to 11 a.m. June 28 in the church.
