Mary Ann Yanders, 88, of Northampton, died June 16, 2023, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Joseph Yanders for 66 years.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Unger) Stubits of Northampton.

She worked part time in the garment industry until she retired in the 1990s.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church with a fervent devotion to St. Anthony. She was a pierogi maker at the former St. Michael’s Church.

She played the piano and the accordion.

She is survived by a son, Robert and wife Lynne of Harpswell, Maine; a daughter, Janet Heminitz and husband John of Walnutport; a sister, Pauline Meltsch of Northampton; a sister-in-law, Dolores and her husband Paul Horvath of Whitehall; sixth grandchildren, Heather, Janelle, Brad, Jocelyn, Ezra and Matthew; and four great grandsons with an expected birth in October.

She was predeceased by a son, Tommy; and a brother, Joseph Stubits.
