James W. Plessl, 45, of Coplay, died June 22, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.

He was a son of John Thomas of Coplay and the late Caroline (Miller) Plessl-Thomas.

He was a 1999 graduate of Whitehall High School.

He worked at the Giant Food Store, Coplay, for more than 20 years.

He played in the Special Olympics for more than 25 years.

In addition to his father, he is survived by three siblings, Cheryl and her husband Gary Urban of Fogelsville, Diana and her husband Brad Rohrbaugh of Whitehall and Tina Thomas of Catasauqua; nieces; and nephews.
