The Bethlehem Press is again a Sweepstakes Winner in the Professional Keystone Media Awards.

The Bethlehem Press, Editor George Taylor, received the most number of points based on 16 Keystone Media Award Winners in Division VI of the 2023 Professional Keystone Media Awards.

The Press newspapers won an additional five 2023 Professional Keystone Media Awards for a total of 21 Professional Keystone Media Awards for 2023 for work published in 2022.

It’s the seventh time that the Bethlehem Press has been named a Sweepstakes Winner in the Professional Keystone Media Awards.

The Bethlehem Press was a Sweepstakes Winner in the 2022, 2021, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014 Professional Keystone Media Awards.

Whitehall-Coplay Press, Editor Kelly Lutterschmidt, received two 2023 Professional Keystone Media Awards.

East Penn Press and Salisbury Press, Editor Debbie Galbraith, each received one 2023 Professional Keystone Media Award.

Parkland Press, Editor Debbie Palmieri, received one 2023 Professional Keystone Media Award.

The Focus section, Editor Paul Willistein, received four 2023 Professional Keystone Media Awards, as part of Bethlehem Press.

“The Keystone Media Awards reinforce excellence by individuals in the news media profession by recognizing journalism that consistently provides relevance, integrity and initiative in serving readers and audiences, and faithfully fulfills its First Amendment rights-responsibilities.

“Further, the Keystone Media Awards stimulate journalists to improve their craft and ultimately improve their community.”

Earlier this year, 2,623 entries were received from 139 Pennsylvania news organizations. Entries in 53 regular categories and 12 specialty categories in seven circulation and four broadcast divisions were judged by journalists in Michigan.

Awards will be presented at the Keystone Media Awards Luncheon, noon Nov. 1, in conjunction with the News Media Business Summit, Sheraton Hershey Harrisburg Hotel, Harrisburg.
