Northwestern Lehigh alumnus

receives degree

Nolan Hernandez, son of Todd and Sheri Hernandez and a 2019 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh, with a Bachelor’s degree in information science on April 30.

Following his graduation, Nolan was commissioned an ensign in the U.S. Navy after completing four years of NROTC where he was his unit’s company commander.

Nolan was awarded the Chief of Naval Operations Distinguished Midshipman Award, the Navy League’s Most Outstanding Midshipman and Top Senior Award.

Ensign Hernandez was chosen to enter U.S. Navy pilot training in Pensacola, Fla., to become a naval aviator.
