Wescosville Scout earns Eagle honor

Zachary L. Ritter of Troop 131, Wescosville, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor held at Concordia Lutheran Church June 3.

For his Eagle project, Ritter installed a 16-by-24 foot paver patio at the back of the church.

In Scouts, Ritter earned a total of 28 merit badges and held the positions of assistant patrol leader and patrol leader. In 2021 he successfully completed a seven-day high adventure trip to Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia.

Outside of Scouting, Ritter was a member of the Emmaus High School Green Hornet Marching Band and Symphonic Band, as well as National Honor Society, the chess team and the mock trial team.

The son of David and Tammi Ritter, of Macungie, Ritter will attend Pennsylvania State University at University Park in the fall.
