NP Legion team tops Carbon, Salisbury
The North Parkland Lehigh Valley Legion baseball team went 2-2 in its first four league games of the 2023 season.
The Buffaloes have wins over the Carbon Monarchs and Salisbury while they lost to unbeaten South Parkland and Northern Valley. They also opened the season with a 1-1 record in a pair of nonleague games.
Monday, June 5
No. Parkland-
Carbon Monarchs
North Parkland opened the Lehigh Valley Legion season with a 14-3 win over the Carbon Monarchs in six innings.
The Buffaloes scored four runs in the first inning and another three in the second for a 7-2 lead. A four-run fifth followed by three runs in the sixth put the game away.
Tyler McNicholas was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a run. Andrew Beers went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run. Gavin Mohry was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Chase Whittaker got the win, pitching four innings and allowing two runs on four hits while striking out five and walking three. Owen Ondrejca pitched two inning and allowed three hits and a run.
Thursday, June 8

Northern Valley
Northern Valley pitcher Wesley George gave up just three hits in a complete game shut to lead his team to a 4-0 win.
Tyler McNicholas, Matt Razzis and Gavin Mohry had hits in the game for North Parkland.
Friday, June 9
No. Parkland-So. Parkland
Jaiden Wannamaker pitched a complete game, allowing just three Buffalo hits in a 9-1 Trojan win.
Andrew Beers went 2-for-2 with a run scored for North Parkland.
Saturday, June 10
No. Parkland-
Salisbury
The Buffaloes scored three runs in the first inning, another three in the third and two in the fourth inning to take a 8-0 lead en route to a 9-4 win over Salisbury.
Gavin Mohry went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored in the win.
Noah Trager allowed two hits over 3.1 innings to get the win. He struck out six while walking two.
Saturday, May 27

Boyertown
The Bears handed the Buffaloes a 12-2 nonleague setback in six innings as two Boyertown pitchers combined to throw a two-hitter.
North Parkland’s Aiden Anderson and Tyler McNicholas had hits in the game.
Sunday, May 28
Perkiomen-
No. Parkland
The Buffaloes put up three runs in each of the first two innings and another three in the fifth for a 9-3 nonleague win over Perkiomen.
Jake Barto went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run in the win. Owen Ondrejca got the win, pitching three innings and allowing just two hits and three runs.
