Salem United Methodist Church’s community outreach committee will be holding a dessert auction June 24 at the church, 1067 Blue Mountain Drive, Danielsville.

All the desserts will be on view by 5 p.m., with the auction beginning 6 p.m.

There will be a lot of homemade cakes, pies and other assorted desserts on the auction block. The event promises lots of fun and great desserts for a good cause.

All the proceeds from this auction will go to Peaceable Kingdom animal shelter in Whitehall.

Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company, 4188 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville, will be hosting its first community yard sale 8 a.m.-3 p.m. June 24. The fire company will also be selling food and drinks.

The rain date is set for June 25.

Hope Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School program is scheduled for July 10-14. Classes are 9 a.m.-noon, with a closing program set for 7 p.m. July 14.

The theme is Totally Submerged. Come dive into the Bible with the Gilligan crew on the adventure of a lifetime. Participants will be exploring the wet and wild stories from the ocean floor.

VBS is open to children ages 3 to youths completing sixth grade in June. Children must be potty trained.
