Joseph P. Bohar, 93, of Walnutport, died June 7, 2023, at home. He was the husband of the late Sallie (Graumenz) Bohar for 59 years.

Born in Cementon, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Pesta) Bohar.

He was a private in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1950.

He worked at Western and Bethlehem Steel for a short time. He was an electrician for 32 years at Mack Trucks.

He was a life member of Hokendauqua American Legion Post 739.

He is survived by three sons, Joseph G. and wife Janet of Allentown, Gregory P. and wife Roseann of Florida and Craig J. and wife Cheri of Whitehall; two daughters, Laurie Ehrlacher and husband Leo of Allentown and Robin Sperlbaum of Walnutport; a sister, Maryann Nemchick of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

He was predeceased by four brothers; and two sisters.
