Joseph P. Bohar, 93, of Walnutport, died June 7, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Sallie (Graumenz) Bohar, with whom he shared 59 loving years of marriage. Born in Cementon, he was the son of the late Frank and the late Anna (Pesta) Bohar.

He served as a private in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1950.

He worked at Western and Bethlehem Steel, both for a short time. He then worked at Mack Trucks where he was an electrician for 32 years.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting and golfing. He was a life member of the Hokey American Legion, Post 739.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph G. and his wife, Janet, of Allentown, Gregory P. and his wife, Roseann, of Florida, Craig J. and his wife, Cheri, of Whitehall; daughters, Laurie and her husband, Leo Ehrlacher, of Allentown, Robin Sperlbaum, of Walnutport; sister, Maryann Nemchick, of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
